Program description:

The war for talent is more fierce than ever. The world is changing rapidly. Organizations must adapt to compete. There is growing evidence that people who have the highest potential to succeed in this environment are also the most agile learners. While researchers differ slightly in their definitions of learning agility, it can be summarized as an ability and willingness to learn from experience and quickly apply this to new situations.

A new entry into the race to accurately measure and develop learning agility is the Burke Learning Agility Inventory™ (Burke LAI), developed by Dr. Warner Burke at Columbia University. Theory based, and research driven, this tool has proven effective in the identification and development of high potential leaders.

David Smith, President and CEO and Rebekah Cardenas, VP of Business Development and Assessment Solutions, will review theory and research in the area of learning agility that has led to the development and validation of the Burke LAI. They will compare the instrument to two well known assessments and share with you research conducted at PepsiCo, Hogan Assessment Systems and OSF HealthCare, among others.
