Program description:

Will Artificial Intelligence transform the workplace, and the way IO psychologists work?  In this presentation, Dr. Barney will provide evidence that AI's impact is already underway.  He will introduce the major types of AI, and highlight what forms are already being used in IO science and practice today for selection, performance management, and development. He will outline some of the ways that IO psychologists are working to avoid bias by combining methods from computer science and psychometrics.  Finally, he will share his perspective on where AI is taking both the world of work, and IO psychology in future organizations that will combine AI, blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), and nanotechnology.
