Program Description: 

Dr. Eden King will discuss "The Science of Stigma at Work." She plans to review evidence of intraindividual, interpersonal, and interorganizational variability in experiences of and strategies for remediating stigma in the world of work. In addition, she will discuss her current role as SIOP President. 

Speaker Information: 

Dr. Eden King is an Associate Professor of I/O Psychology at Rice University. Prior to her time at Rice, she was an Associate Professor at George Mason University. She is a Senior Associate Editor for the Journal of Management and an Associate Editor for the Journal of Business Psychology. She has published over 100 scholarly works and has been featured in the New York Times, Good Morning America, and the Harvard Business Review. Her research focuses on issues of diversity and inclusion in the workplace, and work-family considerations. Through her research efforts, she seeks to guide effective and equitable management practices to support diverse organizations.
