Event Information: The world of work is evolving rapidly – and so are the ways organizations define, measure, and develop the capabilities that drive success. This session explores how leading companies are rethinking competency models to keep pace with changing business strategies, technology, and workforce expectations. Drawing on data from thousands of recent leadership assessments and real client examples, the discussion will highlight emerging trends shaping the next generation of competency frameworks – what’s shifting, why it matters, and how organizations can adapt. Ideal for those currently serving in HR roles as well as students preparing to enter the field, this session will offer practical insights and fresh perspective on where competency modeling is headed next.

Fees for this event are as follows:

Jenny Morton Eagen, Ph.D., ACC partners with leaders and organizations who want to make a difference. She leverages a results-oriented, people-focused, evidence-based approach to help the leadership of today meet the challenges of tomorrow. Clients value Jenny’s focus on cultivating actionable insights, empathetically listening yet challenging as a trusted advisor, and serving as a strategic thought partner in resolute support of her client’s goals. Bringing a decade of experience spanning the gamut of talent management, Jenny has expertise in leadership coaching, succession planning, assessments, 360s, competency modeling, and success profiles. Additionally, she has a wealth of knowledge in building and implementing scalable solutions such as inclusion and engagement surveys and the development of a career discovery assessment. She has been fortunate to serve organizations such as Ascension (the nation’s largest non-profit healthcare system), consulting firm CMA, AB-InBev, Express Scripts, and Fleishman-Hillard. Jenny earned her PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and her B.A. from the same university. Supporting the Global Talent Hiring Program at the World Trade Center St. Louis, Jenny led multidisciplinary research to identify solutions enacted by regional economic leadership to hire international talent, improving the St. Louis economy. She has presented her research on National Public Radio (NPR), as well as at international conferences in the U.S. and in China. Jenny is also an ICF-certified coach, having engaged in hundreds of hours partnering with her coaching clients.

A Little Trivia about Jenny: Always looking to grow personally and spiritually, she enjoys podcasts (please share your recommendations!), playing board games with family and friends, spending time with her husband, daughter and cat, powerlifting, traveling, and (attempting to) build her culinary skills.
